Arusha, 02 March, 2019: The African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights will begin its 52nd Ordinary Session on Monday, 4 March 2019, at its Seat in Arusha, Tanzania. The four-week session will end on 29 March.
The Judges, among others, will examine over fifteen applications and at least seven judgments are expected to be rendered.
The Judgments, scheduled for delivery on 28 March, will be live streamed via link https://www.youtube.com/user/africancourt/channels/live.
During the Session, the first edition of the Law Report on the Court’s Jurisprudence is expected to be launched.
The Judges will have a break in the morning of 8 March to join staff, invited guests from other Courts and organisations as well as the international community to celebrate the 2019 International Women’s Day on the theme: 2019 The Year of Refugees, Returnees and Internally Displaced Persons. Towards durable solutions to forced displacement in Africa, especially the plight of women and children.
